Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications using patterns, templates, and specialized tools. Install windows, mirrors, and other glass components in residential and commercial properties, ensuring precise alignment and secure fittings. Collaborate with builders, architects, and contractors to interpret blueprints and specifications for glazing installations. Examine glass for defects, marking and discarding flawed sections as necessary. Utilize notched tools and glass pliers to break off sheets and excess glass with precision. Apply caulking and sealing compounds to glass components, ensuring weatherproof and watertight finishes. Handle glass repairs and replacements, addressing customer concerns with efficiency and professionalism. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations at all times, minimizing the risk of accidents on-site and maintaining a secure working environment. Qualification & Experience Relevant AQF Certificate III with 2 years of Australian work experience as a Glazier. Strong work ethic and attention to detail and precision in cutting, handling, and installing glass. Ability to measure, cut, finish, and install flat glass and mirrors. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of different types of glass and their appropriate applications. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues professionally. Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the glazing industry. Full, valid driver’s license.
