Southwest Aviation are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical).
Work location: Cootamundra NSW 2590
Responsibilities
- Aircraft maintenance activities on scheduled and non-scheduled for a range of aircraft
- Disassembling and removing various aircraft parts to perform inspections
- Completing testing and fault diagnosis of airframe, engine and electrical systems, components and accessories
- Maintain, inspect, test and undertake fault diagnosis of electrical, electronic, components and accessories on aircraft
- Fabricate, maintain and repair Sheetmetal, bonded and non-metallic composite parts, and components on various aircraft
- Working safely and adhering to all safety and compliance procedures
- Reporting to management
Skills
- Work in a team environment
- Technical and engineering activities
- Medical fitness, with good hearing and vision (color blindness may make people unsuitable for some aircraft trades)
- Have good hand-eye coordination
- Be able to concentrate for long periods
- Be neat and accurate
- Have attention to detail
- Be able to work in confined spaces and at heights on platforms around aircraft.
Qualification:
- Ideally have a qualification in Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Certificate IV Aero skills qualification (Mechanical, Structures) or equivalent
Experience
- At least 3 years relevant experience
Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000pa commensurate with experience.
