Chef

Brunswick Foodstore is a well established cafe in Brunswick, open 7 days serving breakfast and lunch. We also cater for evening events and functions. We're looking for a talented chef to be part of the next phase of our business as we look to expand and invest to take us to the next level. Ideally, we are searching for an experienced chef with suitable experience in similar high volume and fast paced kitchen environments.

The right applicant will need to be able to demonstrate:
• A confident and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation and consistency 
• Cost and stock control experience 
• Planning and organisational skills 
• Be meticulous in adhering to food safety regulations 
• Experience in planning, budgeting and menu planning 
• Experience in leading and developing staff 
• Ability to work closely with the owners
?If you are self-driven and have a genuine passion for food and recognise the trends within our industry then we would like to hear from you. To be considered for this exciting role, you will be:
• Qualification in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the commercial kitchen
• Ambitious and driven 
• Organised and responsible 
• Team oriented for both front and back of house staff 
• Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements
• Someone to add to the great team culture already established
