Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Accommodation Department.
• To implement and maintain a quality system for the Hotel, to ensure we always offer guests consistently high standards of quality through training and monitoring of services.
• Ensure all hygiene standards are implemented on a day-to-day basis ensuring the highest standards of cleaning of guest bedrooms as well as public areas.
• Allocating work duties & cleaning lists to Accommodation Assistants/ Porters on a daily basis.
• Carrying out routine inspections of all check out rooms and spot checks of all occupied rooms.
• Reporting and follow up on any maintenance defects or other issues.
• Oversees implementation of deep cleaning programs, maintenance reporting and follow-up.
• Conducting daily and weekly training to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensuring all rooms & Front of House areas are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times
• Liaising & communicating with Front Office and Reservations teams regarding room status.
• Be fully versed in the World of Hyatt Brands standards
The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following:
• Must have the ability to prioritize and delegate work
• Must be standards driven and detail-orientated
• Have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service & communication skills
• Experience in managing and training of staff
• Previous experience managing a busy Accommodation department in a busy 4/5 star hotel is essential for this role
• A good command of the English Language is essential
• Good IT skills
