The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Painter who is passionate about delivering high-quality finishes, whether it’s a residential home or a large commercial project. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, varnishes, and other finishes, and ensuring every project is completed to the highest standard. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working in a hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks to ensure a smooth base for painting.
2. Painting and Finishing: Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment as needed.
3. Color Matching: Mix and match paints to create the desired color and finish, ensuring consistency across all surfaces.
4. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, using protective gear and ensuring the workspace is safe and free from hazards.
5. Cleanup: Clean and maintain tools and equipment, and ensure the work area is left clean and tidy after each project.
6. Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets the company’s high standards for quality, durability, and customer satisfaction.
7. Customer Interaction: Work professionally with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded in every project.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Qualifications: Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent experience.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
3. Skills: Proficiency in surface preparation, paint application, color matching, and using painting tools and equipment. Knowledge of various types of finishes and techniques.
4. Work Rights: Must have full working rights in Australia.
5. Personal Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
