SQL DBA ? (GCP ? PaaS)

The Role:


Our client is a leading ASX organisation on the lookout for a SQL DBA to current state, identifying and decommissioning unused databases, and right-sizing / redesigning them.
Your Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive discovery of the SQL Server environment to understand the existing setup.
Application to Database Mapping: Map applications to their corresponding databases to ensure accurate tracking and management.
Identify Unused Databases: Identify databases that are no longer in use and assess their impact on the system.
Archive and Decommission Databases: Archive and decommission identified unused databases in a secure and efficient manner.
Right-Size SQL Server Footprint: Adjust the SQL Server footprint to align with actual usage and needs, optimising resource and license allocation.

Proven experience in SQL Server management and optimisation.
