First Fleet Recruitment is an Australian owned and operated recruitment company servicing the needs of the mining, engineering and manufacturing industries across Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to take a permanent position in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia
Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for Diagnosis, Repair and Maintenance of vehicles.
You will provide expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles
- Taking all necessary steps to diagnose to ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components.
- Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
- Ordering parts needed as part of warranty service.
- Providing guidance and training to apprentice Automotive Mechanics
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
- Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to clients.
- Providing high level guest service to the dealership’s clients
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Qualifications as an Automotive Technician (light vehicle)
- Must possess industry level certification to operate as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic in relevant state, territory or jurisdiction.
- Developed knowledge of the automotive industry.
- Ability to work productively in an autonomous environment.
- Highly motivated
- Client Service focused
- Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task where required.
- Ideally have experience in repair and maintenance of Toyota vehicles at dealership level
Remuneration:
You will be offered from $73100 pa to $85000 per annum plus superannuation as a base salary, according to experience. Federal award working conditions.
