We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, and installation. Key Responsibilities:
· Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications.
· Construct and install frameworks for buildings, including walls, roofs, and floors.
· Install doors, windows, cabinets, and countertops with precision.
· Apply finishes, such as paints and stains, and install trim and moldings.
· Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
· Perform repairs and maintenance on structures and fixtures as needed.
· Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
· Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project efficiency.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Assess project requirements and determine necessary materials and tools.
· Ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior carpenters and apprentices.
· Track project progress and report any issues or delays to management.
· Assist in estimating project costs and timelines.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role.
· Certificate III in Carpentry or relevant qualification.
· Proficient in using various hand and power tools.
· Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and materials.
· Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Good physical condition and stamina for manual labour.
