Procurement Manager FMCG and fresh produce
Location: Port Melbourne Vic, with the location likely to change in the next 12 months.

The team thrives on innovation, excellence, and a dedication to sustainable sourcing practices. Already in place are several highly qualified sector specific buyers with more on the way. Now the firm wishes to retain a Procurement Manager to be based in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and market demands.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of goods.
Oversee the purchasing of FMCG and perishable products, maintaining inventory levels that meet business needs.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, sales, and finance to streamline operations.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and generate reports for management review.
Implement sustainable procurement practices to support the company's environmental goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience (at least 2 to 3 years, preferably much more) in procurement, preferably within the FMCG and perishables sector.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and the regular office software products.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia.
