Full Time Metal Fabricator & Welder (First Class)
$70,000 - $90,000 AUD
Depending upon the experience
Duties:
- Should be able to study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Should be able to do selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock.
- Must be able to cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand.
- Should be able to do shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand.
- Should be able to align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Should be able to do joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting.
- Should be able to examine welds for width of bead, penetration and precision.
- Should be able to do finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions.
- Should be able to do cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Welding
- Must have minimum of two years’ work experience
- Must have functional English
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to relocate
- Willing to work extra shifts.
