Hangan Steel are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join their team in Warragul VIC 3820.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Plan, produce and assemble new or changed mechanical parts for machinery/tools/equipment.
- Mechanical commissioning and maintenance of industrial machinery or equipment.
- Analyse risks within repair/maintenance for machinery/tools/equipment in order to ensure repairs and tasks are completed safely.
-Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans to prevent significant Company machinery/tools/equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns (including reparation works)
- Optimisation of mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery/tools/equipment settings.
-Performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.
-All other general maintenance of Company machinery/tools/equipment (including, but not limited to: guillotine, band saws, compressor systems, welding equipment)
- Other tasks as advised by management, as required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Certificate III or IV in Mechanical Engineering or a suitable equivalent
- Previous experience as mechanical technician in a related industry
- The ability to work in a team environment
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
