Key Responsibilities:
Overhaul and repair various makes and types of gearbox and power transmission equipment.
Strip, clean, inspect, and repair industrial power transmission equipment with minimal supervision.
Establish root causes of equipment issues to enhance reliability and performance.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Engage in occasional travel and site work as required.
Participate in ongoing learning and development, including OEM training.
Mandatory Skills:
Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter with Australian qualifications.
Safety-conscious with a thorough understanding of and compliance with work safety standards.
Strong technical ability to read engineering drawings and utilize workshop measuring equipment.
Results-driven attitude with excellent workload management skills.
Basic computer skills.
Dedicated, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Good communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
Previous customer service experience.
Experience with wind turbines is advantageous.
Ability to mentor trainees and apprentices.
Experience in gearbox testing.
High-risk work licenses (FLT, Dogging, and Rigging) preferred; training will be provided where necessary.
