WPC Group are seeking a committed 1st Year Sports Turf management Apprentice to work with our Employer Partner! Completing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management will see you as a qualified Greenkeeper. Greenkeepers are responsible for preparing surfaces for play. This includes growing and maintaining the grass on golf ranges, turf wickets, general sports fields, schools and parks. About the role:
Install pressurised irrigation systems.
Operate machinery and equipment.
Implement a plant nutrition program.
Control plant pests, diseases and disorders.
Construct turf playing surfaces.
Implement a grassed area maintenance program.
Renovate sports turf.
Contribute to work health and safety processes.
Implement a plant establishment program.
Implement soil improvements for garden and turf areas.
Prepare and apply chemicals.
Install drainage systems.
