The Role
The Willweld team are currently seeking a Draftsperson to join our busy team. As a member of the team, you will assist with:
• Designing and 3D/2D modelling of new assemblies and parts as per requirements
• Creating detailed fabrication drawings for production
• Updating and revising of existing assemblies and drawings when required
• Liaising with workshop personnel and managers in implementing new design
• Attending weekly team meetings
• Maintaining Drawing Register with up-to-date drawings.
• Obtain quotes for all components, finished products and services
• Raise, place and monitor purchase orders
• Working along side workshop manager to assist in set up of work packs and job management.
• Assist in all other areas when required to support our busy office
• Some site visits maybe required
Qualifications & Experience
• Have 2+ years’ experience in product designing, 3D/2D modelling new assemblies and parts. And SolidWorks
• Experience with Microsoft Office software programs essential
• Have previous purchasing experience – (preferred)
• Highly motivated self-starter and Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
