What the Agriculture Financial Analyst does
Financial Modelling & Key Metric Analysis
- Build best practice large-scale agricultural investment models (Excel), including detailed analysis of property acquisitions, divestments, and portfolio performance.
- Develop consolidated portfolio models and treasury/debt drawdown models to monitor asset performance and funding requirements.
- Create analytical tools and Power BI reports using large data sets to support business decisions.
- Prepare and oversee high-quality Investment Memorandums and reports, supported by comprehensive research and analysis.
- Develop an understanding of key profit drivers in agriculture and assist with benchmarking analysis.
Management of acquisition process and relationships
- Work with Ag Platform CEOs to prioritise resources, review acquisition processes, and ensure governance requirements are met.
- Assist in the development of acquisition reporting in line with investor requirements and recommend key commercial terms for property acquisitions.
- Manage stakeholder and client expectations, and, where required, negotiate outcomes with agents/vendors alongside the CEOs.
Other
- Manage and guide a high performing team capable of supporting the expansion objectives of the Ag Platforms
- Monitor strategic plan implementation effectiveness
- Develop and expand strong working relationships with internal team members, farm staff, external consultants and industry professionals
