On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced full-time Database Developer.
The role will be responsible for designing and implementing stable and reliable databases. The Database Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively. The role will work alongside the rest of the Data Team and will collaborate with Developers, Frontend, Testing, DevOps and Product as well as other internal departments such as Technical Support, Training and Documentation.
Job Description
• Design and implement stable and reliable databases through database development, testing, improvements and maintenance
• Assist in and manage administering Microsoft SQL server including backups, restore testing, monitoring, logging, and other areas as needed
• Assist where needed with ancillary services including but not limited to: Elasticsearch, MySQL, Redis, and AWS
• Assist development team in product development - including SQL code reviews, coding, and performance testing
• Ensure all security practices are followed (including protection of PIl), and approach tasks with security conscientiousness
• Interrogation/problem solving of customer data
• Run and design SQL scripts to import or update customer data, and to fulfil internal procedures
• Improve and create stored procedures and develop new services for clients
• Working together with other teams in ensuring all systems remain operational and secure
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Experience & Skills
• Experienced in SQL
Salary: $80,000 excluding superannuation
