Via Napoli Pizzeria is currently seeking a Head Chef to join our passionate, creative and energetic team.
A Chef’s responsibility is to work closely with the restaurant manager to promote a team environment in which Via Napoli operates with utmost efficiency.
The ideal candidate must have:
At least 3 years’ experience as Chef in Italian Kitchen;
A passion for food and a thorough understanding of current food trends;
Excellent communication and leadership skills;
Exceptional organisational skills;
Immaculate presentation and attention to details;
Self-motivation and ability to multitask;
Ability to work successfully under pressure;
A problem solver with a positive attitude.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Menu planning and estimating food and labour costs;
Stock control and ordering experience;
Liaising with suppliers and other personnel;
Rostering, hiring and training staff;
Supervising kitchen staff, organising their daily duties and monitoring performance;
Ensuring that appropriate levels of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen;
