They seek an experienced Sales Manager to join their team in Byron Bay, NSW.
The Role
Smart Energy is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Solar and Battery Sales Manager to lead our Byron Bay office. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the sales team, driving growth in residential and commercial solar and battery storage systems, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy, a strong sales background, and the ability to lead a team towards achieving ambitious targets.
This is for a full-time role with an annual salary set at $74,100 plus superannuation and commissons. This role will be based in their Byron Bay office.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of solar and battery sales consultants to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Set and manage individual and team KPIs, driving continuous improvement and accountability.
Provide ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement.
Develop and execute strategies to grow the solar and battery business in the Byron Bay region.
Identify new business opportunities, including residential, commercial, and large-scale solar projects.
Build relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, businesses, and homeowners, to expand market presence.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Byron Bay office, ensuring smooth workflow and high performance.
Collaborate with the national leadership team to align local sales efforts with broader company goals.
Manage the sales pipeline, forecast future sales, and report on performance to senior management.
Ensure that customers receive high-quality service and support throughout their journey, from initial inquiry to installation and aftercare.
Address customer concerns, handle escalations, and work to continuously improve the customer experience.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
Maintain a deep understanding of Smart Energy’s product offerings and continuously educate the team on new products and services.
Requirements
At least 4 years of proven experience in sales management
At least 4 years of sales experience in the solar and battery industry in Australia.
At least 4 years of experience managing a sales team within the renewable energy sector.
Understanding of government rebates, feed-in tariffs, and other incentives relevant to solar and battery installations.
At least 4 years of proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
At least 4 years of demonstrated track record of managing and motivating high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Passionate about renewable energy and sustainability.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first approach.
