Bob White Electrix is a dynamic and expanding rotating machines service business. Our major goal is to provide industry with a comprehensive national service offering repair and maintenance of high and low voltage electric motors and generators.
We have an opportunity in our service facility for a permanent position, located in Geelong, Victoria and looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, forward thinking experienced Electrical Fitter.
Reporting to the workshop supervisor, key areas of duties and responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Attend Toolbox mtgs as required
Adhere to laws, codes, statutory rules and regulations, industry, and national standards.
Work in a safe manner with respect to self and others
Undertake works to schedule and quality requirements
Furnish time sheets by close of business Friday on a weekly basis.
Keep accurate diary of meetings and daily activities.
Rewind High Voltage AC and DC Electric Motors Workshop
Plan jobs to co-ordinate repair activities and organize tools and work methods
Conduct detailed analysis and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repair method of AC and DC Electric Motors.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment. Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
As required purchase required materials for projects, ensure accurate costing of PO for processing in Workbench
Adherence to company IMS requirements and standards
To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and experience.
A trade qualification in Electrical Fitting of rotating equipment (Cert III In Electrical Machine Repair)
Experience in AC & DC LV/HV Motors & Generators
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar industry and winding experience for HV Electric Motors
Ability to travel to site when required
Driver’s license
Forklift license
Basic Computer skills
Highly driven and energetic, you will enjoy working with a team, have excellent communication and customer service skills
Proactive self-starter who can manage competing priorities and work under pressure
