Are you an experienced Finance Officer / Accounts Payable Clerk with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? We are currently seeking a Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) on a 6-month fixed-term contract within a local government organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payments for goods and services in line with procurement policies
Ensure all tax invoices are accurately entered and authorised for payment
Verify creditor details, including ABN and tax registration, and process any updates
Handle internal and external queries related to payments
Administer petty cash and corporate credit card transactions
Assist with data entry for payroll
Essential Criteria:
Certificate III in Financial Services, Business Administration, or relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in accounts payable
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Team player with a high level of attention to detail
Experience working in the public sector is an advantage
