Overview:
Cardinal Autos & Tyres is seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring the highest quality of service to our customers. Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Perform inspections to identify vehicle issues and recommend necessary repairs.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle problems efficiently.
Replace faulty or worn components such as shock absorbers, timing belts, or air filters.
Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard, in compliance with safety and manufacturer specifications.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain the nature of vehicle issues and provide accurate repair cost estimates.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all company safety procedures and regulations.
Complete documentation of all repair work, including parts used and services provided, in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and technologies in automotive repair.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III in Automotive or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Motor Mechanic, preferably with experience in both passenger and commercial vehicles.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A valid driver’s license.
Experience with a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Familiarity with the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic software.
