The responsibilities will include:
*Preparing food and ensuring high presentation quality;
*Planning menus and specials for the restaurant;
*Estimating food costs and ordering supplies as required;
*Advising kitchen staff on cooking techniques and procedures;
*Monitoring costs in regards to waste minimization and stock control;
*Carrying out quality checks while ensuring hygiene standards are maintained;
*Working with the management to recruit and train new kitchen staff if required.
Skills required:
*Previous experience in a similar role;
*Have a passion for great food and presentation;
*Ability to prioritize, set goals, and a determination to achieve them;
*Experience in kitchen operations and staff training;
*Experience with menu creation and costings;
*Experience in stock control and wastage minimization.
Remuneration:
$73,150 + superannuation
