BenefitsTask & Responsibilities Lead the Pastry kitchen staff as needed. Mentor trainees and train apprentice staff to assist in building skills and techniques. Ensure that every venue is adequately supplied desserts and pastries in a timely fashion, maintaining ordering and stock rotation, developing new menu items and food costings. Read order sheets and consult recipes in order to plan products and create pastry-goods to order. Ensure all pastry items are baked to Cornerstone standards. Produce baked goods to be sold in Cornerstone outlets and complete catering orders. Create and prepare pastry items in accordance with the existing product range. Maintain quality and consistency of pastry products by assessing, sorting, and following up any issues. Work with team members to create and test innovative new products. Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning. Ensure that daily processes are aligned with WQA & HACCP guidelines. Follow safe work systems and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for the Pastry team.
