About the Role:
Tweed Shire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Irrigation Officer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining irrigation systems across parks, gardens, and other public areas within the council's jurisdiction. Your expertise will ensure the efficient use of water resources and contribute to the overall beauty and sustainability of our green spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, operate, and maintain irrigation systems in public parks, gardens, and council properties.
Monitor and adjust irrigation schedules to optimize water usage based on weather conditions and seasonal needs.
Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs to ensure all systems operate effectively.
Collaborate with the Parks and Recreation team to support the health and appearance of green spaces.
Record and report water usage, system performance, and maintenance activities.
