Mumford Farms Pty Ltd is a large stone fruit grower based in Woorinen 3589 VIC. The business has dedicated over 40 years to cultivating high-quality, flavourful stone fruits. Mumford Farms Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time qualified Irrigationist Assistant.
The salary offered is $73,150 per annum plus superannuation.
Duties and responsibilities
The Irrigationist Assistant will be responsible for the following:
• Determine hydraulic parameters for an irrigation system
• Implement and irrigation-related program
• Schedule irrgations
• Select and manage pumping systems for irrigation
• Interpret and apply irrigation designs
• Supervise irrigation system installations
• Supervise irrigation maintenance
The applicants will have the following skills and experience:
• AQF Certificate II in the horticulture, viticulture or in a related field with 1 year of experience (working 20 hours per week) OR 2 years (38 hours or more per week) relevant experience
• Practical experience as a farm worker within the Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry
• Ability to operate wide range of farm and plant machinery including tractors and pump
• Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles
• Excellent communication skills
• Driver’s licence
• Suitable agricultural or horticultural qualifications and/or experience
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
