Job description:
• Consulting customers and fitting garments to determine required alterations.
• Taking measurements on clients and filling out tailoring forms according to brands.
• Mending, altering, and tailoring a range of men's and women's garments using equipment’s such as sewing machines and overlockers.
• Fitting and pinning garments on customers and marking areas requiring alterations or making alterations on the spot.
• Demonstrating a customer centric mindset during consultations and fittings to ensure customer’s expectations are exceeded at every opportunity.
• Assessment of fit, fabrics and price quotes.
• Ensuring all work is completed to an exceptional professional standard and in a timely manner.
• Provide constructive feedback to less experience members of the team in relation to styling and fitting.
• Executing all alterations and repairs to a high standard.
• Sharing your knowledge and expertise in tailoring with team members when required to ensure fittings are accurate.
• Maintaining a high level of organisation and cleanliness within tailoring room.
• Provide technique and knowledge to maintain the organisation and regime of the sartorial space on the selling flop and back of the house.
• Manage customer complaints and after sales service.
• Oversight the process of marketing, creative campaigns related to menswear and especially sartorial side of the business, including promotions, brand introduction, and made to measure.
• Complying with company health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications/Attributes:???
• Must hold a Diploma of Fashion Design, or a related field or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of qualification.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in sewing techniques, alterations, and garment construction.
• Knowledge of various fabrics and their properties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Creativity and keen attention to detail.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
