We are seeking a highly motivated experienced Accountant to join our friendly, supportive, and well-established CPA accounting firm located in the Northern Suburbs. The successful candidate will be working closely with the partners, managers and its existing client base which come from a wide variety of industries.
You will be responsible for:
• Preparation of Tax Returns and Quarterly BAS Returns, Reconciliation of bank accounts, processing of journals/ledgers
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Preparation of Budgets & Cashflows
• Liaising with clients regarding tax matters and with ATO and other authorities
• Bookkeeping duties
• General administrative tasks
As you progress through your career you will become involved in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and superannuation funds, as well as business analysis and advice.
Professional and in-house training and mentoring provided to ensure you develop excellent accounting skills.
To be Successful you will need to have:
• Business or Commerce degree (majoring in Accounting)
• Intends working towards a CA or CPA qualification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail ,initiative and motivation
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Have knowledge of computer packages including Xero, MYOB, Reckon MS Office
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Have a minimum 1 plus year experience in Australian public practice
