ARA Fire (part of the ARA group) is a maritime technical service partner in Australia, providing safety services, technical solutions and marine products. We are seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to join our friendly, supportive team. We are offering a salary of $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 plus superannuation per annum commensurate to experience.
Job Details: Full-Time, 38 hours per week.

ABOUT THE JOB
Responsibilities of a Fire Safety Engineer (not exhaustive):
- Servicing and commissioning of shipboard fixed CO2 system per SOLAS and flag state requirements.
- Servicing and commissioning of shipboard fixed foam system per SOLAS and flag state requirements.
- Servicing and commissioning of shipboard fixed hyper mist system per SOLAS and flag state requirements.
- Servicing and commissioning of shipboard fire detection system per SOLAS and flag state requirements.
- Servicing and commissioning of shipboard portable firefighting equipment per SOLAS and flag state requirements.
- Fault identification, troubleshooting & condition reporting.
- Test and conduct certification of valves and cylinders as required.
- Provide service reports & photographs of jobs completed.
- Sourcing & installation of new parts and equipment.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, which include completing JSEA's, permits to work, Isolations and Risk analysis.
- Commit to workplace safety & good work practices.
- Assist with the compilation and distribution of job packs and help ops support where necessary to understand their contents.
- Liaise direct to customers regarding service work.
- Input into internal and external audits.
- Conduct facility maintenance as required.
- Qualifications of a Fire Safety Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering;
Minimum 2 years of work experience in the field.
