Task & Responsibilities Measure, mix, shape, and mold dough, while monitoring oven settings for perfect baking results. Operate baking machinery, apply glazes, and add decorative touches to finished products. Ensure food quality and consistency across all products. Train and mentor junior pastry chefs, fostering a collaborative and skilled team. Lead product development and prepare weekly specials to keep the product offers fresh and exciting. Maintain stock levels, ensuring ingredients and supplies are always available. Optimize kitchen workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity. Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including the cleaning and preparation of baking equipment. Ensure compliance with NSW health regulations and safety standards, verifying the cleanliness and readiness of equipment and work areas before production. Qualification & Experience AQF Certificate III in a related field. A minimum of two years of on-the-job training in pastry preparation. Knowledge of Central European pastries, especially Polish would be very beneficial.
