Benefits Full-time salary range of $65,000-$75,000 per year based on skills and experience plus superannuation. Task & Responsibilities Skilfully construct and repair dental appliances, including dentures, orthodontic appliances, splints, anti-snoring devices and mouthguards, ensuring each piece meets patient-specific needs and quality standards. Create accurate plaster and wax models from patient impressions, ensuring precise replication of oral structures to support effective treatment outcomes. Utilise various materials such as acrylic, metals, and wax, and apply specialized techniques like plaster casting, wire bending, and sandblasting to construct durable and functional dental appliances. Polish and finish dental appliances, delivering products with a high degree of craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. Work closely with dentists and dental prosthetists to achieve patient goals related to improved dental health, breathing, nutrition, confidence, and social prospects, demonstrating your collaborative spirit and focus on patient well-being. Oversee workflow, distribute tasks within the removable team, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met, operate efficiently within a dental lab environment, collaborating in small work groups to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. Qualification & Experience AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2). Minimum of 2 years of work experience required to be working as a Dental Technician. Strong organizational skills in the preparation and creation of dental prosthetics and devices within dental laboratories and clinics.
