About the role
The City of Canning are looking for a skilled Waste Service Operator with extensive experience operating heavy-rigid vehicles, trucks and related plant and machinery.
Reporting to the Supervisor Waste Collection, this full-time permanent position is responsible for providing a timely waste collection and disposal service, and ensuring professional customer service to the City?s residents and customers.
A snapshot of your new role:
Operate a variety of plant and vehicles including (but not limited to) Side-loading Rubbish & Recycle trucks, Schaffer Loaders, and Rear-loading Litter & Verge trucks
Act as vehicle custodian, performing pre-starts, vehicle logs and routine daily maintenance
Collect and maintain 240 litre mobile garbage bins
Collect verge-side green waste, including illegally dumped material
Litter collection, including park and street bins
Repair, assemble and deliver bins, including installation of street litter bins
