About the Opportunity
The Ganger is responsible for providing a high level of support to the Parks and Recreation Supervisor in undertaking a leading role whilst performing construction and maintenance tasks.
This position is located in Chinchilla.
Reporting to the Parks and Recreation Supervisor, you will:
supervise and mentor Parks and Recreation Horticulture crew and contribute positively to work undertaken by the crew;
operate plant items, carry out construction and maintain infrastructure and parks assets;
actively participate in planning and recommending possible ways in which allocated tasks and responsibilities can be carried out more effectively and efficiently;
uphold the public image of the Council and maintain satisfactory relations and goodwill with the community; and
undertake general labouring
