TAS Work is expected to commence in Nov 2024 and continue through to potentially May 2025
QLD Work is expected to commence in May 2025 and continue through to potentially Nov 2025

F/T Rate - 23.46 p/h - Weekly $891.50
Casual Roles - Will be based at either location dependent on harvest requirements. - Horticultural Casual Award Rate - 29.33 p/h
The work you will be doing is hard and physically demanding. It will involve close to ground work. The work is outdoor and it is mainly sunny and hot between 23– 28 degrees Celsius and up to 70% humidity, but at times it will rain and it can be muddy and wet. You need to be fit and in good physical condition to do this work.
Usually work will start at 6am and finish at 3pm, though this may change from time to time.
Working week runs Monday – Sunday.
You will be paid as a pieceworker during harvest periods.
This means you are paid for how much work you do rather than how many hours you work. Your pay will be based on the amount that you pick, pack, prune or make.
As a pieceworker ‘competent at the piecework task’ you can expect to earn $26.98 (F/T) $33.73(Casual) per hour under a Piecework Record. If you do less work because you are slower, or if you are still learning the skills, you will earn less than this.
If you are doing work not covered by your Piecework Record, you will be paid the Award hourly rate under the Award.
Under the Horticulture Award 2020 a pieceworker must be paid for each day on which they work no less than their hourly rate under the Award (including the 25% casual loading for a casual pieceworker) multiplied by the number of hours worked on that day.
For the right candidates there also maybe the opportunity for upskilling in various roles that may lead to offers of temp contracts or fulltime positions
