We are currently filling a full time cook position in our cafe restaurant in Hurstville
Your main duties include
? Prepare and cook food in compliance with internal standard operating process and food health and safety requirements
? Quality control of all fresh produce to small goods to final dishes (freshness, presentation, portion control etc)
? Storing food in compliance with Food Health Safety requirements especially the hazardous foods category
? Inventory control of all stock level
? Ensure cooking equipment is regulated and functional properly
? Prepare and cook food to meet special dietary requirements if any
? Assist with the menu planning and new product introduction
? Taking ownership of the replenishment process and at the same time minimize wastage
? Maintain high level of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
? Maintain smooth and effective communication between front of house and the kitchen especially when involving special dietary requirements
? Training junior staff when required
In order to fulfill above duties, it is required you would possess the below qualifications, skills and experiences
? Relevant Certificate III and 2 years of relevant work experience or 3 years of work experience to substitute formal qualification
? Has good command of language and communication skills
? Has good command of kitchen tools and equipment
? Very good understanding of common food produce from preparation to cooking to storage requirements etc
? Very good understanding of Food Health and Safety
? Had experiences in the past handling hazardous foods
? Has worked in a team environment
The offer includes a remuneration package of $73,150 + superannuation for a full time cook position.
