Squiz is looking to add a software engineer (PHP) to join our business applications team. Playing a key role in designing, developing and maintaining Squiz’s inhouse business systems. This is a great opportunity to work with various teams across the business i.e. HR, finance etc.
Who you are:
For this role, we ask that you can demonstrate the following:
- Mid-Senior level PHP development experience
- Experience using coding frameworks (e.g Laravel, Lumen)
- Strong SQL skills (MySQL) (Must have)
- Experience with Javascript
- Solid exposure and understanding of Integration concepts (REST APIs, Zapier or similar product exp)
- Proficient Linux skills (command lines as a min)
- Testing experience (Unit Tests, UAT etc)
Nice to have:
- Docker, Terraform
- Newer Javascript framework experience - ideally Vue
- Exposure to finance/ERP systems
What you would do:
- Designing, developing and maintaining integrations for global platforms, systems and services using a broad range of technologies
- Designing, developing and maintaining internal business systems
- Testing systems and integrations for security and reliability
- Collaborate and review code with other developers in the team
- Working directly with our Business Analyst to ensure our data and business processes align
- Troubleshoot tickets and bugs related to our internal applications, integrations and automated processes.
- Assist in refactoring and optimisation of legacy codebases and integrations.
- Troubleshooting and writing MySQL queries to assist with reporting.
