My Australia Direct Our client, Beak & Johnston Pty Ltd, are looking for a Technical Specialist. The Technical Specialist role is a key role in the successful ongoing maintenance of the production line. Working with world class equipment within the food manufacturing industry, you will effectively ensure production equipment and manufacturing machinery is operating at optimal efficiency. While this role will report into the relevant functional Team Leader there will be an indirect line of reporting into the Engineering Manager with regards to technical guidance and support. BenefitsTask & Responsibilities Be the first point of contact for any breakdown maintenance issues; Inspect and troubleshoot relevant equipment and try resolve the matter within a reasonable period of time; Work with the Team Leader and Engineering Manager to determine optimum worker and maximise equipment efficiencies; Work with the Team Leader and Engineering Manager to establish standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, inspection, and maintenance according to engineering standards and principles; Provide ongoing training and support on the production machinery; Play a pivotal role in supporting and documenting the correct way to utilise equipment; Continue to suggest and look at ways to improve and drive machinery performance Qualification & Experience At least a Bachelor degree in a relevant field like production, process, manufacturing, and industrial engineering Experience in working with controls and automated systems; Good oral and written communication skills; Ability to solve complex technical problems; 1-5years FMCG and food manufacturing industry experience; 1-5 years Production Engineering experience; 1-5years Machine operating experience; Experience in machine safety startup and change overs; Experience in quality and compliance checks such as - Metal checks / weight checks / gas checks / seal checks as per B&J quality guidelines; Experience managing changeover on the production line including using tools/ techniques/ PPE/ Chemical; Experience and the ability to read and understand SOP’s/Work Instructions (WI); Medium to Basic computer skills and experience with production and manufacturing systems (i.e. MES); Experience with daily ATP, MPM and iLeader reporting / give away reporting with reason codes; Buddy training and mentoring; Good organizational and time management skills; A keen eye for details for accuracy; Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
