Your new role This position requires a qualified HVAC Technician to install, refurbish or maintain the full range of mechanical services including; air handling units, dampers and ductwork, pipework, split systems, and valves. You will liaise with suppliers and customers throughout projects and report to the contract manager on site for opportunities to upgrade and modernise the plant and equipment. This position has consistent hours with overtime options available. This position will see you working on multiple projects in the Townsville and surrounding region in a physical capacity. You will be driving the service vehicle between sites, carrying tool boxes and equipment, working in confined spaces and at heights and walking and standing for long periods. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will be a trade qualified HVAC Technician (Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent) and hold general work experience in a similar role within the building services industry. You will also need:
Valid Refrigerant Handling Licence
Knowledge of HVAC systems and components
Lift and handle tools & equipment of up to 20kgs
Working at heights and confined spaces tickets (or be willing to obtain)
Strong IT skills
Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office environment
Ability to interpret work within policies and procedures.
