Essential Distribution Aus Pty Ltd. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for an enthusiastic employee with the right skill set and experience to join our team. Accounting of all day-to-day transactions (journal entries) through Xero accounting software (including sales invoicing and purchase bills) and preparation of the financial statements (Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement). Preparation, filing and lodging of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), Workcover insurance and Payroll Tax for various group entities of 'Essential Beauty', along with generating reports for the management & external auditors. Working with external auditors for the finalisation of the year-end financial statements (Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement) and tax returns for various group entities of 'Essential Beauty'. Answering queries raised by external auditors in relation to any particular financial transaction or entry recorded in Xero accounting software, in order to ensure that the information in financial reports is accurate (and correctly reflect as per the accounting standards, policies, best-practices, etc. and comply with statutory requirements). Managing working capital and forecasting liquidity (cash-flow) requirements to ensure timely payments to creditors (for purchase bills), employees (for salary & wages), and payables related to various statutory requirements (such as, payments for Superannuation, BAS, PAYG tax, payroll tax, etc. are done without any delay). Processing of Payrolls (fortnightly pay-runs, onboarding, termination, superannuation, PAYG withholding tax, leaves management, timesheets, employee reimbursements, etc.) Working with the management and the legal/compliance team for either the purchase/sale of the existing salon franchisee or the onboarding & opening of a new salon franchisee and closure of old/existing franchisee (including settlement of accounts). Liaising and coordinating with the bank for various financial issues; for instance, to setup monthly transaction limits (direct debits and payments), issuance of new EFTPOS terminal for new salons, requesting banking card issuance for cash deposits by salon managers, investigation of any fraudulent financial transaction in any salon, etc. Preparation of the fortnightly Profit & Loss report of the company-owned salons for the management review (with focus on breakeven revenue, operating costs, and profitability of the company-owned salons). Calculation of the landed costs for the imported goods and profit margins for the review by the 'stock and warehouse' team. Recording and collection of weekly 'gift cards' sales (from salon franchisees) and redemption payments (to salon franchisees). Undertaking various ad-hoc projects, other finance and general administrative duties and tasks, as required by the business. It is a full-time position with minimum of 37.5 hours a week. Flexibility is required for overtime, shift work and during peak periods. QUALIFICATION: Must hold equivalent to Australian Qualification Framework ( AQF ) Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in relevant field including at least one (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time work experience in a similar role.
