We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Thornleigh Curry House, based in Thornleigh, NSW is actively looking for a Chef (Indian Cuisine) to join its team on a full-time basis. The business is an Indian Dine-In Restaurant located out of Thornleigh, NSW
Main Responsibilities of the role are-
• Prepare and cook high-quality meals and ensuring dishes are presented attractively and consistently.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and culinary standards.
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Develop new recipes and menus to keep offerings fresh and exciting, considering dietary trends and customer preferences.
• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during service periods, meeting deadlines and managing pressure effectively.
Must Have —
• Certificate IV or Similar qualification in Cookery
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef or Cook in Indian Cooking in a restaurant or similar setting
• Minimum 1 Year of cookery experience in Australia
Skills Needed
• Strong Indian culinary skills.
• Time management and working under pressure/ fast moving environment.
• Creativity and Innovation for developing new recipes and enhancing existing dishes.
• Leadership and teamwork for managing kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Attention to detail and presentation.
Successful candidate will be on an annual salary of $70,000 to $85,000 Plus Superannuation.
