The Animal Emergency Centre (AEC) provide premier after-hours vet care to sick and injured pets. Today, AEC is part of the largest emergency and specialist group in Australia, hosting the largest contingent of Emergency Veterinarians in the country.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality clinical care to both GP and ECC patients.
- Work with cutting-edge equipment, including multi-parameter patient monitors, in-house laboratory (PT/APTT and blood gas analysis), ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, blood products, and mechanical ventilation.
- Collaborate seamlessly with both the general practice and emergency teams, sharing resources and staff when needed.
- Manage a range of responsibilities, including GP surgical patients, pre- and post-op care, emergency consultations, and hospitalised cases.
- Work alongside the Vet Director and Head Nurses to develop and refine the role, providing feedback to ensure the position is well-supported.
