The Indian Dining Club is a premier restaurant that offers an exquisite dining experience for those who appreciate the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. Located in the heart of the city, our restaurant combines traditional Indian recipes with a modern touch to create dishes that are both authentic and innovative.
Chef - Full time
38 hrs per week
Salary $73150 + superannuation
Duties:
- Assisting head chef in design of seasonable and specials menu
- Preparing, cooking & seasoning dishes demonstrating cooking techniques.
- Examining the food to ensure the quality & quantity of food & ensure customers’ needs are met
- Training and guiding other kitchen staffs where needed
- Maintaining the smooth operation of various cooking equipment, such as ovens, grills etc
- Contribute to stock control, rotation, and accurate recording of deliveries.
- Maintaining OH&S and hygiene in the workplace working in commercial kitchen
Job requirements:
At least 1 -2 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen.
Candidates with Relevant Qualification - C IV in Cookery or higher with Diploma of Hospitality will be be given priority.
Knowledge specifically in Indian food would be sought primarily. Have experience in cooking Asian Food.
Must have ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Weekend availability is must.
