Position Title: Full-time Student Counsellor
Annual Salary: A$ 75,000 + Superannuation
Introduction:
Sanji Caldera Associates is a multi-national education and immigration consultancy firm which offers a full range of migration services. We are looking for an experienced & forward-thinking full-time Student Counsellor for an immediate start to manage the student visa department.
Duties:
• Work with students to assess their eligibility for various study pathways.
• working with students on career, study and job opportunities by reviewing and assessing their background information relevant to their goals
• Advising students and parents about various study options available in Australia.
• Gathering information from students on their career goals and advising suitable study pathways.
• Research, analyse and customize student pathways to meet their financial and personal aspects.
• Responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information on immigration laws, policies, and procedures relating to student visa applications.
• Prepare and lodge visa applications, including student visas, appeals, working visas, and complex migration cases.
• Draft comprehensive submissions and legal documents to support visa applications and appeals.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, case files, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and lodge visa applications on time.
• Providing information, understanding and advice on the learning and behavior of students
• Providing information and resources to assist students with job-seeking skills
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum a master’s degree qualification.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is mandatory.
• In depth experience in Australian visa system and specialty for student visas.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to details.
• Able to perform under pressure.
• Good team player.
• Knowledge of English and Sinhala languages are required.
