Salary: $73,500 – $78,000 + 11.5% superannuation

About the Company:
Our client, D&D Restaurants Pty Ltd. T/A Dosa Hut Indian Multi Cuisine, a busy Indian restaurant and an impressive multi-cuisine brand for Indian food lovers, is looking to fill full time positions for enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified Chefs to assist in running a busy restaurant kitchen. The company takes pride in their ability to deliver quality food and superior service every time. Client is looking for an experienced Chef with the passion and ability to drive the kitchen, create amazing food offerings and provide support to the team. Chef will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the customer’s satisfaction. You will ensure quality and consistency through constant monitoring of all aspects in the kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for innovative menu offerings, food safety and hygiene compliance
to ensure consistent and quality standards are achieved.

To be successful in this position, you will need to have relevant work experience and trade qualifications, you must have a genuine interest in the hospitality industry. The successful applicant must comply with all WHS, Food Safety and HACCP requirements.

In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Preparing and cooking Indian food including Tandoori, Indochinese and Dosas.
• Overall management of kitchen production to achieve consistency and deliver exceptional products and service
• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies for dine in customers, functions as well as catering orders.
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Maintaining high level kitchen standards and quality
• Ensuring that the Kitchen Minimum Standards are being complied to
• Assisting in the efficient running of kitchen operations
• Delivering outstanding food in taste and presentation
• Discussing food preparation issues with manager/ owner and kitchen staff
• Ensuring all kitchen staff understood expectations and parameters of kitchen goals and daily kitchen work
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• Ensuring all food operations are compliant with relevant regulations
• Participating in the cost controlling and waste management of food
• Maintaining updated knowledge of local competition and restaurant industry trends

Qualifications and experience:
• Be qualified in hospitality with AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill
Level 2) or have minimum three years’ experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• Ideally at least 3 Years full-time experience as a Chef
