Nic and Kolo is an Award Winning cafe in the Applecross Village, exclusively showcasing fresh WA produce through an approachable, contemporary and asian fusion menu in a modern and relaxed atmosphere. We are open 7 days/week from 7 am to 3.30 pm for Brunch and 430 pm to 830 pm Wednesday to Saturday for Dinner. Nic and Kolo is fully licensed.
We are seeking for a suitably qualified and experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. If you have at least two years post qualification experience in a quality establishment, contact us.
The successful applicant for this position will:
Have the proven ability to work in a small team in a la carte kitchens
Have experience to lead the kitchen team and train staff
Be a team player, hold a positive view on teamwork and strive to motivate team and co-workers
Have experience in cooking grill/garnish and a la carte breakfast and dinner for a medium sized restaurant
Have the ability to cope in a fast paced environment
Be able to work in all areas of the kitchen and take an active role in helping develop our menus which change seasonally
Have excellent communication skills and be well organised
Must be willing and available to work weekends and rostered shifts (including some public holidays)
Ensure all food preparation meets standards
Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
Report and manage hygiene and hazard issues
A strong focus on maintaining professional standards in food preparation and hygiene is a must.
