Typically operating Monday to Saturday, we are seeking a Head Chef to work full time (5 days), roster dependent on business requirements which include both lunch and dinner service. Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities. Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings. Calculating costs and liaising with suppliers and the Club Secretary. Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff and rosters. Overseeing the food preparation, cooking and cleaning processes Delegating tasks and resolving issues as they arise. Approving and “polishing” dishes before they reach the customer Ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations A great work ethic. A wide repertoire of food ideas. Reliable and conscientious. Passionate about their craft. A great temperament is a must. Ability to teach and guide younger chefs.
