Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials needed, and installation processes.
• Select optimal materials and manage layout preparations for efficient workflow and resource utilization.
• Execute precise cutting, assembly, and fastening of construction materials to create components and frameworks.
• Construct and erect structural frameworks, including roof framing, sub-flooring, and verify alignments to ensure structural integrity.
• Install fascias, sheath roofs, apply external cladding, and fit doors and window frames to enhance structural aesthetics and functionality.
• Fabricate structured elements and fittings, ensuring readiness for installation.
• Employ craftsmanship in woodworking, including joint cutting and assembly.
• Engage in the construction of formworks and the modification and repair of existing structures as required.
• Utilize a variety of materials, such as plastics, laminates, perspex, and metals, adapting techniques as necessary for specialized project requirements.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week.
Salary: The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 plus superannuation per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience.
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical documents.
