Due to a healthy pipeline of work, our Buildings & Places group are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team, based in Melbourne. This role would suit someone who possesses excellent technical and design skills, with the ability to deliver projects across a range of market sectors.
What will a day in this role look like:
- Utilise your extensive design and project management expertise to ensure high-quality, cost-effective project delivery across key sectors such as healthcare, defence, transport, and other major building projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, applying your technical leadership to review and optimize design calculations, specifications, and drawings, ensuring the highest standards of quality.
- Lead mechanical design efforts and oversee project delivery for major clients, conducting technical reviews, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers across the business.
- Foster strong client relationships by engaging directly with stakeholders, offering innovative solutions, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
