Task & Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and related parts. Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection and repair. Repair and replace worn and defective parts, and reassemble mechanical components, referring to service manuals as needed. Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to ensure the efficient operation of vehicles and compliance with pollution regulations. Reassemble engines and components after repairs. Test and adjust mechanical parts post-repair to ensure proper performance. Use computers and diagnostic tools to test and diagnose parts. Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or provide detailed reports on work required to achieve roadworthiness. Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls as needed. Qualification & Experience Preferred Qualifications: Certificate III (or equivalent), including at least two years of on-the-job training, OR Certificate IV (or Equivalent) OR at least three years of relevant experience.
