Im working with a small business specialising in the design and manufacture of custom electrical components and refrigeration assemblies. Serving a wide range of industries in Healthcare, HVAC, 4WD, Beverage Dispensing, Commercial Wiring, and Automation. Business capabilities in injection moulding, extrusion, tube bending, wire processing, and cable making.
The company is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Plant Engineer to join a supportive and collaborative team. Working directly with senior executives and experienced engineers, gaining knowledge and expanding your experience in project management, materials knowledge and supply chains.
Responsibilities
Design and Build Machines: hands-on process of designing, constructing and commissioning new machines. Practical skills and engineering knowledge will help develop innovative solutions.
Create Test Equipment: expertise in design, construct, and commission test equipment ensuring products meet the highest standards.
Investigate and Innovate: tackle challenges by thoroughly investigating solutions, analyse ideas, and proposing effective solutions. Your curiosity and analytical skills will drive continuous improvement to projects.
Maintain and Repair Equipment: Ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency by fixing and maintaining existing machines, minimising downtime and maximising productivity.
Design and Fabricate Jigs and Fixtures: Develop and create jigs and fixtures to streamline and enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with industrial control systems and 3D drafting
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation
Ability to thoroughly investigate and analyse solutions
An individual with a 'maker' mindset, who loves building things in their spare time and is naturally inquisitive.
