Metal Fabricator
We currently have permanent positions (38 hour week with overtime available) at our Lonsdale site.
Candidates with Engineering or Factory backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication.
- Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.
- Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.
- Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting.
- Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision.
- Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and bathing in acidic solutions.
- Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding.
- Construct or repair metal structures such as boilers and pressure vessels.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints to determine fabrication requirements.
- Construct base templates if necessary and measure and mark out cutting and bending lines.
- Set up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Double-check design specifications before commencing cutting work.
- Fabricate and construct metal components and products.
- Grind and finish completed products to meet quality standards.
- Perform quality checks on completed products and ensure conformity with state and company safety regulations.
- Complete job reports and document fabrication processes and outcomes.

Requirements and Experience:
- At least five years of experience as a CNC Operator.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.
- Solid computer and math skills.
- Diploma, Degree, or above level of experience.
- Physically able to operate a CNC Machine.
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to lift 20kg at a time.
